Do you confuse these two words? Hopefully you won’t confuse them after today. Let’s look at them.

Different is an adjective, difference is a noun


Those two horses are different colours. One is brown and one is white.

What is the difference between those two horses? One is brown and one is white.


Here’s a tip to help you remember.

There is a letter T in different and in adjective. There is no T in difference or noun.


Now try this. Complete the sentences with the correct words.

What is the ________________ between a crocodile and an alligator? Are they the same or _____________?

They are _________________.  You can easily spot the ___________________.

They have ___________________ shaped faces. An alligator’s face is U-shaped. A crocodile’s face is V-shaped.
